Waiting for the game, but in the meantime had a question on how Leaders were handled!

Will it be similar to WITP-AE, where you have a limited number of PPs to spend, and replacing leaders costs PPs?

There are some instances where I would think that would be really expensive, if not prohibited. For example, Mario Roatta......he led the disastrous CTV effort at Guadalajara, and was sacked. I'm sure his ratings in-game stink, and the Nationalist Player would like him replaced, but the reality is that would've been very difficult before Roatta's failure. (In fact, impossible from the Spanish perspective, since it was Mussolini's decision).

Also, curious how factions leaders are handled.....some leaders, particularly on the Republican side, are going to be restricted to one faction...correct? Thinking the Catalan, Basque, CNT, POUM, and some other leaders (of course the POUM leaders probably are gone from the game after the May Days, thanks to the NKVD)

The Republicans in the north have their own list of officers, because most of them were isolated from the rest of the republican territory. This list includes Basques, Asturians, and people from Santander.
The Catalans are not separate because, although there is the possibility of creating a "Catalan Army" in the game, they were never truly independent in the war.
Anarchists, socialists, etc., have militias, but their leaders are from the republican list. They are not separate because they eventually integrated into the republican army in may 37 and later they rose through the Popular Army´s ranks.
The POUM militias and their leaders disappeare in May 1937. You can change this in the editor if you want an alternative war.

There are no political points in the game.
Only victory points to determine the outcome of the game.
