Suggestion for re-releasing an Emperor Edition of this game

Hello,

I think after all this time a revamp of the original would be profitable enough to justify it's existence. I know I would be willing to buy the game again for the new features.

Some ideas for a new edition or patch.

1. Ability to fast forward AI moves which are painfully slow and time consuming.
2. Allow Skirmisher ability to Imperial Guard. Right now I lose these units easily and they just don't perform as intended.
3. Allow custom difficulty settings, like recruitment bonus, card number per turn, battle bonuses for AI etc.
4. Allow Generals to be more of a use with bonuses like in the Civil War version.
5. Add Terrain bonuses automatically on the battlefield like the Civil War version.

6. Add the ability to buy with Money like the Civil War version.
7. If possible, add animated Sprites for the battles, this was done in 1996 with Conquest of the new World.
8. Maybe add weather issues with provinces.
9. Add Force March card as always available or strategic move.
10. Make Generals when alone move Strategic 3 spaces instead of just 1.
11. Maybe just add Skirmisher units without the need of cards?
12. Dragoons having the ability to fire?

Thank you for listening.

If anyone can think of anything else please post, this game is too much fun to not have a facelift.

A couple other suggestions I thought of.

13. Make the ability for Napoleon to have 25 units be permanent without a card need.
14. Make the Napoleon Genius card always available.

15. Have a new card to make 1 Cavalry as Guard Cavalry unit.
16. New card to convert 1 Guard unit to an "Old Guard" level 6 Unit.
17. New Redoubt card for Russia giving a bonus to Russian Artillery and Infantry. Card given only with Frances Invasion of Russia soil.
18. Remove the Foraging card and replace with automatic foraging based on terrain and weather.

I hope others like these ideas.

Here is a link for the developers to see what Conquest of the new World did for Sprite battles back in 1996!

Hear, Hear

I also made a couple suggestions in various posts, such as :
- Allow to attack Gibraltar. Automatic favorable terrain for the defender, and a max number of units allowed in the zone
- Enable ships to gain experience as Land units, perhaps 5 max for GB / France, 4 for Spain / Russia, Ottomans
- Separate the difficulty bonus / penalties
- Enable generals to gain experience, none for Napoleon, +1 or 10 rated (Davout, perhaps Wellington), +2 for the other ones, NOT cumulative with the military reform cards, and give names to generic ones that get promoted + make them permanent

Too busy at the moment to give ot further thought, haven't played for nearly one year, but I would definitely buy an upgraded version

Some good ideas there, although I have a few qualms which don't need to be hashed out here.

I don't know when/if Glenn is going to want to fund a revised version of the game. But I will make it a point to ask him if there is any news that I can share with you on this subject.

Thanks for relaying to him. I think this game could do a resale if some of the items mentioned above are added. Civil War had many improvements that would add to Napoleon. Civil War is also not being offered here, I think it would be a good idea to offer on this site also?

Just PM me the Qualms I would love to see what the disagreements are, The most important to me were highlighted so I am curious if it was one of them or the Sprites request? I do feel sprites would be easy to add and Glenn I am sure can see the monetary value of a revamp. The costs shouldn't be too much and the returns I believe would be good.
