Anyone know if the hexes can be switched off? I can't find a switch. Thanks.

Yes, hot key "G"
Hot keys are shown by pressing the "H" button in the lower left.

I think he wants to eliminate all hexsides, not just the borders....GP

Pressing "G" eliminates the hexes from view. Try it ! Leaves only the underlying map art in view

It's a beautiful map, by the way. And it's simply incredible to try playing something that looks a little like WitP at 2560x1440 and be actually able to see everything!
