Combat Reports

I was playing around with a small scenario - #3: Battle of Republic del Norte 1937.

When I resolved combat and the combat resolutions screens came up I couldn't see the location of the battle being highlighted on the screen so I could see where the battle was. I've just read through the manual once so far so I'm sure there's a lot I haven't "digested" yet so what am I missing? Is there an option or something to show where the battle is?

Thanks

Yes there is. You can also slide the combat report during the execution to the upper left of the screen and the combat hex will be seen if you are looking at the screen and not someone more interesting . . .

Is there a way to slow down the compat resoltuion execution?
I pressed NUM-Key "+"/"-", but it not make much difference.
Is there way to pause the combat resolution?

Maybe there is there way to predefine the speed in the ini-file?

I was not able to move the window, but it covers a pretty large section of my screen. It already starts in the upper left section. So my solution is start at zoom level 4 in combat. Still the hex is highlighted sporadicly.

i agreee, its really not easy to see where the battle was. Its marked but in a bad way. They have transported the bad things from War in the Pacific to this game without doing any good progressions. I cant understand the developers. So many things they could had change to better way .. but it didnt happen

After your turn ends, pressing the P key will show you the hexagons where combats took place (two crossed swords symbol). Hovering your cursor over them will display a summary of the combat in each hexagon.

Although I agree, the location must also be properly marked in the combat phase. This will need to be improved in the future.

If you slide the combat report to the upper left, the hex where the combat is will be shown to the right.

Unfortunately this does not work.
In my example below, there are 3 attacks:
Naval Attack 155,104
Naval Attack 149,105
Recon Mission 140,109.

The next turn, when i press "P", I only see the Recon Mission on the display.
Both Naval attacks do not show.

I mean.. there was battle..but ineffective with nothing to report.

You may have to zoom in to see the small symbols.

In the Combat Report if you click on the line of the place where the figth took place that hex is selected.

If you activate the key P filter you can read the combat results wherever you see a crossed swords icon. If more than one took place there you can advance to next report with idontrememberwichkey.

PD: While resolving the turn when a battle takes place i move that screen to one side before hitting the arrow to leave that screen so you can see the hex where the figth takes place with anicon of a red crosshair and a black bomb.
