SUGGESTION - Exporting Save-Game Data into CSV-Files - Supporting 3rd-Party Analytical Tools

I noticed, that from the Editor, the player can export a lot of initial scenario data into CSV-Files.
This is a perfect foundation for building some analytical tools like we had in WitP-AE.
Furthermore, it is excellent, that different reports are already automatically created after each turn and stored in the Report folder as text-files.
However what is still missing is the export possibility of actual scenario status data after each turn (maybe similar to what WitE2 offers as an export function from their Commander's report.)
This would allow us to create additional anlytical and statistic tools fort a better understanding of the current status of the scenario.
For War in Spain 1936-39 as game of even higher complexity then WitP-AE, I think this is a must-have option moving forward. I cannot imagine playing a monster like this w/o any Excel-/Power-BI analytics.
Thanks for considering this suggestion.
Terry

Well then, start writing your program to do so just this job in case something like what you want happens!

My apologies, but I do not understand your comment.
Once a CSV-Export exists, it is all done within the Excel/Power-BI-Magic.
Or somebody could indeed write a 3rd-party programm.
But no csv --> No data --> no analysis. Simple as that.

What about a program like Tracker for WITP:AE?

That of course would be fantastic, but AFAIK they were able to directly decipher the save games files.
To me it looks like these are encrypted, so this would add an aditional layer of complexity.
At least that would be beyond my skills.

Any volunteers out there?

You could ask the person who wrote the Tracker program if that individual is still around the forums.

I'm one of the guys who helped write Tracker for WITP and AE. Floyd, the other guy, was the lead on those projects. He still maintains it on the AE forum.
AE had a DLL plugin, which enabled us to achieve what we did in Java (not my choice of programs these days - we were both interested in learning it at the time)
It is up to the dev's to open up the game data to csv, dll, or include a history in the game.
I am confident they will respond to the issues & well thought out suggestions first, and then expand to enabling utilities or other.

Seconded. CSV export would be great. Would need a credential based system for MP though, but other than that...I suspect it would be the same functions used to export the SCEN file.
Basic CSVs could be widely used by the common man/woman/person. The late 2025 generation LLMs could easily parse the files and provide all sorts of analysis via chatbot.
I've already began referring to ChatGPT 5 Thinking as my XO.
