Question about disbanding units.

I have not seen anything about this in the manual, forgive me if it is answered somewhere there. I know about dump/destroy if left/right click on that button. And about the empty RSV units with “no reinforcements” dissapearing. But my question is What happens when you disband an unit? Does pool recover the devices the unit was using? Whan happens with disabled devices hold by the disbanding unit?.
I have an RSV of captured artillery pieces and when I disband it in a base some captured ( F) devices appear in my pool, but less than the ones the RSV was holding.

Yes but the disabled devices must be repaired before they show up in the pools. Whan happens with disabled devices hold by the disbanding unit?.
I just answered that one.

Any of the disabled device might be repaired and be available later.

I hope that these answers help.

Yes, indeed they do. Thanks a lot.
That brings to my mind another question. Do disabled devices repair "by themselves" while in the pool? i think yes.. but..
Umhh i need to recheck if all not dissabled F devices appear in the pool. I think i disbanded some F captured RSV with X guns and there were less in the pool.
Knowing this now i can disband and remake the RSVs as i need them, to "refresh" the devices avaliable ( or their amount).

Yes, they repair themselves.
But it takes a long time, even several weeks for a large howitzer...
A shortage can also occur when the engine adds devices (F) to a unit where these devices are already used.
If an artillery unit has 8 guns and you have 6 (F) there, the engine will automatically send each captured additional repaired guns of that type to that unit.

Cant you limit the total amount of F stuff in an LCU?
Otherwise you could ever transfer all "interesting" captured F devices to an RSV and dont use the distribute option but move it to "merge" with the other unit you want to give F stuff, rigth?

I'm not sure what you mean....
Each unit has its own TOE.
And it says how much of what is in the unit.
Including F devices will primarily force you (over time, as both armies grow) to lack your own devices.
In 37-38, you will need every captured mortar, gun, AA gun or truck...
Don't rush to use them until you have to.
(Republica del Norte in particular suffers from a lack of everything...)

I had to read again the manual. It is just i misread this paragraph of the manual where i completely not read the "logistic" word.

So i was expecting to add F equipment over the TOE level and limit of the unit i would give the F devices, like giving F artillery devices to "agrupaciones de milicia" kind of LCUs. My bad.

PD: And i have spent couple hours trying to do so... I almost started a thread to ask about the on screen messagge with the ligth blue border.

Thats when/where i fount the duplicated device list in the target unit when trying to merge stuff and started another thread about that.

Sorry, I'm dealing with a strictly historical version of the game.
The engine (despite my certain disdain) offers many different options.
However, I don't test or support them.
The historical version took me 3 years of work and I'm not interested in other hypothetical options.
It may sound bad, but I don't spend time on things that I can't (or don't want to) test properly.

It is all fine, as i said it was a misinterpretation/misread of the manual by my side.

You can "merge" captured equipment into existing units without replacing any original equipment. It is up to you and a generous enemy who gifts you those devices if you want to do things like that.
