Japanese graphics assets question

Question for Devs: is it OK if I use the graphics-assets for Japan in SC:WaW or SC:WitP for an SC:WiE mod for public release? I suppose I could try to either find a third-party mod that has their own assets for Japan, create my own, or just use generic graphics for them, but this seems a hassle.

I should clarify that this is not going to be a "play WaW/WitP without buying the game!" mod or anything like that - this is related to the alt-history Turtledove mod I've been working on.

I own all of this generation of the StratCom games (they're awesome! keep making them!).

Hi, thanks for the question, much appreciated, and just curious if then it might be possible to release the mod for Pacific or even World at War to avoid the potential issue altogether?

I plan to release it for all editions of the game but am working on WiE first. Thanks for the offer of help on conversion - I'll be sure to take you up on it when I get to converting. I guess if the Japanese graphics are going to be an issue I'll just use a third-party mod or generic graphics.
