I have finished converting couple merchants to merchants-t and they are not showing any “liquid cargo cap” in their info screen, well.. it is showing still 0, I don’t know if that’s wai/wad or a bug.

An AK-T is a cargo ship converted to carry troops, changing some of their cargo capacity to passenger quarters. Antonio Lopez starts as Cargo 5300, Troops 260, Liquid 0, and had converted to 3975, 1585, 0. So that looks OK to me.
Note there is an Advanced Preferences setting:
AK Tankers : On/Off [On by default]
This is explained in the manual:
AK Tankers – Off means liquids can only be moved by ship with liquid cargo capacity. On means liquids can be stored in any ships bulk cargo space. This is much slower to load/unload than using a ship that has capacity for liquid cargo. This includes Barge and Submarine transport missions.
So, unless you turned this setting off, then despite the 0 liquid capacity displayed, you should find that AK as it was or AK-t now, can load fuel. I think it is not 1 to 1, ie. you can't replace 3975 tons of cargo with 3975 tons of fuel, but still a significant amount if carrying only liquid fuel, or easily enough as supplies for a unit that has some vehicles, so you have 1585 troops, their equipment and supplies and fuel.

Actually, it is 1:1 from what I have seen.
