I have a CTD when starting a scenario from the main page. I already have:
- installed all components of the installer
- DirectX = v.12
- unistalled and reinstalled a couple of times
- Ran LaunchFix program

I enclose my DxDiag report.

Regards.

At a second attempt I managed to run the game (maybe relaunching LaunchFix).

Which scenario did you experience the CTD on?

I have tried a couple - surely the tutorial. Anyway I think I only hit the display problem that needs the ddl fix.

I’ve just updated to v1.01 (build 165.51.1) and unfortunately I’m still unable to get the game working properly on modern hardware. I wanted to share my experience together with some screenshots, in case someone has a working setup or the developers can provide guidance.
I’m running the game on a Dell XPS 17 with a 3840×2400 display and dual GPUs (Intel + NVIDIA). I’ve explicitly forced the game to use the NVIDIA GPU.

What I’ve tried
- Removed DDrawCompat completely
- Tried running the game with Windows managing DPI
- Tried “Application” and “System (Enhanced)” DPI overrides
- Disabled fullscreen optimizations
- Forced 16‑bit color mode
- Tested multiple resolutions
- Tried launching with and without GPU overrides
- Reinstalled the game
- Updated to the latest version (1.01 build 165.51.1)
- etc

Current behavior
Even after the update, the game still shows a mix of graphical and scaling issues on launch. Some resolutions start but display incorrectly, while others fail to initialize properly. The interface elements do not scale consistently on my 3840×2400 display, and in several cases the game either freezes or crashes to desktop during basic interactions such as opening menus or changing settings. Overall, I haven’t been able to reach a configuration that behaves reliably on this system.

General concern
I spent several hours (until midnight) trying to make the game work, but the underlying architecture seems unable to handle modern high‑DPI machines. Even basic menus become unstable depending on the GPU, DPI mode, or wrapper used.

Request
Could someone please provide:
- A known‑working configuration for
- Dell XPS 17
- 3840×2400 resolution
- NVIDIA GPU
- Windows 11
- Clarification on whether the new version still relies on legacy DirectDraw paths
- Whether a modern rendering backend (DX9/11/SDL/etc.) is planned

I’m attaching screenshots showing some of the issues I’m encountering.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help — I’d really like to get this game running properly.
