Wekkarus Ghost Ships screw up captures

I generally love the Wekkarus. It’s currently my preferred race to play with. But I’ve encountered a big problem with them: Ghost Ships not only do not help fleets doing captures, they sometimes prevent them by destroying the capture targets!

Don’t know if it’s WAD or not, but from my perspective, that is a problem. A huge one!

Here’s an example from my current game...

I had ordered my fleet Grabbers 2 to capture the Mostafar 8 Mining Station belonging to the Boskara Territory. When I looked at how it was going, I saw that even though the capture was progressing (my troops are in the station and wining; see screenshot below), the station was almost destroyed. I immediately ordered the fleet to stop what it was doing.

But, a Ghost Ship (destroyer) had joined the fight, and instead of having a capture mission, it has an attack mission (“Attack Mostafar 8 Mining Station”). And there’s no way for me to interact with the Ghost Ship.

Without the Ghost Ship, I would have captured the station. But after unpausing the game, the Ghost Ship did indeed destroyed the station, preventing its capture! Very annoying!


Possible solutions:

* Ghost Ships don’t intervene in captures
* When assisting a fleet capturing a target, Ghost Ships should also have a capture mission, instead of an attack one.
* Allow some interaction between the player and the Ghost Ships (at least the ability to stop what it’s currently doing).
