Maybe the best unknown feature

If you get the first turn setup blues when you want to start a new game, and dread redoing that first turn set up. Well, here's a little hidden gem you may not given much thought to yet.

If you bring up the overview report screen, you'll see the ability at the top to save or load first turn setup. When you are finished with your first turn moves click to save the setup. The next time you start a new game open up the overview report screen again and then click load setup.

I do not know where the data is stored, but it works.
This feature appears limited as I think it can only save one setup. (I am unsure if both sides get their own save slot)

Best use is when starting a new game after a new patch is released.

Keep in mind that it doesn't save everything.
Certain commands that would create new units cannot be stored for later
import, but all orders you give for existent units can be retrieved later.
Certain orders that cause new units or commanders to be
created, like splitting groups or loading LCUs on ships cannot be
imported.
