Question About Folder Structure in My AE Installation (Digital River Version)

Hi all,

I’m trying to confirm whether the folder structure in my installation of War in the Pacific: Admiral’s Edition matches what others have.

My installer is the v10079DR Digital River version, and after a clean install + patching to 1.8.11.26a, my game directory looks like this:

War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition\
pwhex.dat
pwzlink.dat
art\
scen\
witploadAE.exe
SCEN001
SCEN002
...
data1\
save\
War in the Pacific Admiral Edition.exe

Notably:
- I do not have a dat folder
- I do not have a locs.dat file anywhere
- pwhex.dat and pwzlink.dat are in the main WITP folder
- witploadAE.exe is inside the SCEN folder
- Most files have timestamps from 2009–2010, even after patching
- Only the patch executables show newer dates

For those of you using AE (especially anyone with the full non‑DR installer):
- Does your installation have the same folder layout?
- Do you have a dat folder, and if so, what’s inside it?
- Where are your pwhex.dat and locs.dat files located?
- Are your file timestamps also from 2009–2010?

I’m just trying to compare my structure with what others have to understand the differences between the DR installer and the full installer.

Thanks in advance for any info.

This is what I have Version 28. The five dat files are in the main War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition folder.

Your file dates are different from what I have for:
- pwhexe.dat (9/8/2010)
- pwzlink.dat (4/18/2009)
- pwzone.dat (4/18/2009)

Does 262 have "new" AI files or is it only updates after?
