Trying to understand AI behavior

1st - The germans are occupying and claiming towns in spain now, I knew their tanks and planes came with strings :)

2nd - The republicans have pretty much lost the north. they had an exodus of troops slip through the forest hills/mountains to the south, where they seemingly linked up with large forces north of Madrid and have reversed course. Combined, they now march back north.

I guess I'm just wondering what is the objective, and or what trigged it. They'll have limited to no supplies for such a huge force. It just feels chaotic.

I think it's pretty clear that, while the AI is a decent sparring partner to learn the engine, we're going to have to play humans in the end

I'm waiting for some of the bugs to be ironed out, and to learn the engine a bit more before taking the plunge

While playing vs human will always be the ultimate experience, it's not for me. I get bored of playing after a month or two as anything can break the momentum of the game. That's just me though, so I rely on a programmed opponent.

With that said, for a conclusion I did trap those forces and got them to surrender.
