If computer side starts with Unfriendly posture towards player, and I destroy or damage one of its units will it treat the player as hostile automatically thereafter, or do i have to set up an event that is triggered when Unit Destroyed and has an action ScenEdit_SetSidePosture etc

Thnx

Yes. At that point the computer side will treat the player side as hostile. However, if collective responsibility is not checked in the Add/Edit Sides window only the unit that fired will be treated as hostile.

Thanks for taking the time to answer. It was not entirely clear in the manual if the marking of a unit as hostile (which, if done, applies collectively) is automatic or needs to be designed.

A second question, if you please: If Side A destroys a submarine of Side B, will the above apply as well, or not? Or is it more nuanced? If the sub is below shallow (or out of comms) will its death will remain unknow and thus the posture of Side B towards Side A will remain unaffected?

I have tested it with an out of comms sub.

If another unit of the sub side "sees" it, the posture changes to hostile for the side.

If not, you are informed of everything in the log, but there is no change in the posture.
