Fail safe campaign

Once again aircraft crashing because they run out of fuel. You guys can program all these wonderful features but cant get fuel management mechanics right ??? Among my other complaints is the mission totally ignores orders. The assets are just cogs in a complex simulation. I understand your relationship with the military, but this Campaign totally sours me on this franchise. I am not new to CMANO I have spent hours learning the Desert Storm campaign. Even the two dollar Broken Shield was better than this mission totally no gaming involved. I an willing to support your efforts but not for crap like this campaign. The standalone game scenario Rising Lion was leaps and bounds better.

Hi,

We are sorry for your frustration. Can we see a save from the dysfunctional behavior you are describing? (Preferably just before it manifests, so that we may be able to debug it). Thanks.

This was mostly just a rant, but was using Public beta version to play. Having said that here are some of the save files. I would have to run it again and create a couple of manual save files to describe the situation.

We found a few potential issues on the saves you shared, but without any additional information on how you got to that situation or earlier saves, what we can do to troubleshoot this issue is limited.

> In all saves 332 Sqn #3 and #4 are either already in RTB or heading to refuel from 803 Sqn #7
> In both cases the latter is unassigned and with an empty refueling queue
- there is no support mission for the tanker
- was the tanker manually launched?
- was it assigned to the AEW support track?
- was the support mission for the tanker deleted by mistake?
Adding to that, a single tanker does not have enough fuel to serve both 332 Sqn #3 and #4, let alone support the refueling of all aircrafts in that theater (some fly to station from Norway), the F86F (332 Sqn #3 and #4) at full fuel have just enough to get to station.

The main reason for the ditching that happens in the scenario was that the Tanker does not move towards the client, lengthening the distance the bingo AC has to travel to reach the AAR point.
Actions Taken, this fixes will be present in the next CMO release (post-v1.09 updates):
> Recovery from something that might have gone wrong/corrupted in your save, when a unit is in heading to refuel, if the tanker does not have them in queue, a rescheduling attempt will be made.
> When client cannot reach the tanker with the remaining fuel, the tanker will move towards the client earlier and ensure the refueling takes place, we already had a logic like this in place, it has now been tweaked to better address the kind of last resort situation you showed in the attached save.

As mentioned, any additional save files or information on what happened and what actions you took will greatly help us.
