T-90 classification of a F-35

Noticed it in another scenario, so created this simple one. Is it a bug?

Edit: sorry. Not the human eyes that see it first, but the TV camera is what does the classification.

Stealth isn't cloaking. Sure, it's a small chance the T-90s TV camera volume search would detect the F-35 but it's not 0.

I did some looking and at least for the T-90 that sight can see and UD aerial targets abd can be used to target low slow adversaries like helicopters. I don't know if CMO accounts for the FOV limits but what I found was a 14-16 degree positive elevation limit. At 9nm the F-35 is probably within the FOV though.

I'd say it's a "golden BB" detection.

Stealth aircraft are not immune from visual detection, and a tank crewman with a decent enough eyesight could probably spot a fighter flying above them.

It was about the classification.

First I thought it was done by the eye sight.

But at x1 noticed that it was done by the camera.

The main factor is the contrail left by the aircraft. If you lower its altitude to 32,000 ft, it leaves no contrail and the tank never detects it. Very well simulated/represented by cmano here. Although I also wonder if a tank's camera can point that high.

I think a T-90s camera at +16 degrees of elevation (max OSINT elevation found) can see the plane.

One degree vision is 17.77 meters high @ 1.000 meters distance. (6400 mill / 360 degrees).
Than, 16 Degrees vision is 285 meters high @ 1.000 meters
So at 9.5 Nm distance (17.6 km) the max alt a T-90 tank vision device can see is 17x285= 5.016 meters = 16.051 feet.

That is the half the range of what happens here.

Or the commander is out of the turret and sees the contrail visually.
And to identify a F-35 at 9Nm flying @ 30.000 feet plus, is not something a human can do...

But this was not the case, because it was the camera! I would support the case that something is wrong and not WAD.

1) The tank commander spotted the F-35 by its contrail.
2) He pointed the tank's TV camera to it, and using its zoom, identified it.

The only "realism flaw" in this sequence is, I think, that the TV camera would normally not be able to elevate sufficiently to look at the F-35. Which is fair; we don't model elevation limits on such sensors ATM.
