Supply in ports wonky

After experimenting in 1943 Solomons and with my MEGA mod I have observed several things about port supply. I think some of them are errors in how supply is calculated? All of these observations were made with no port construction added.
All of these pictures are taken from 1943 Solomons scenario. The Allies own all the ports on Guad and Tulagi, Jap still has Turtle Bay.
1) A port that is inactive from a RESOURCE script (Turtle Bay, 1943 Solomons) still gives 8 supply to a friendly ship that is INSIDE the port. It also shows 8 on the supply diagram.
2) A damaged port still gives, and shows on the supply diagram, full supply (8/7/6/5/4) to ships. It does not matter if the port is damaged down to 1 or 2 health, it still gives 8 supply. I did notice some distance is affected - the 4 supply is not always there.
3) A single enemy ship will stop any port from giving supply to allied ships. I never knew this - is this working as intended or a bug? This is the case with all ports, i.e. one enemy ship completely inactivates it. If a single Japanese ship is placed next to Tulagi, it cuts off the supply to the US AA gun and the AA gun loses health from attrition (there is no SUPPLY or STRENGTH script for this). It stops supply to land and sea.
Honestly, I'm kinda on this fence if this is a useful bug or not. On the one hand blockading is kinda realistic with only one ship, on the other hand this may be to powerful. I'm not sure yet!
