Will we soon see real war games on consoles?

Yo guys!
Lately I've been seeing tons of rumors online, specially about the next PlayStation and the new GTA. Everyone is saying the new consoles are gonna be super powerful, basically like high-end PCs at this point. So i was wondering, could our big strategy games (like War in the East) finally be coming to consoles? Back around the PlayStation 3 release date, consoles just weren't powerful enough to handle these complex games, but that seems to be changing now. Have you guys heard any real news about this?
