We’re thrilled to announce a
new DLC for Strategic Command WWI titled
Battles for Ypres.
Take command in one of the Great War’s most fiercely contested regions, fighting for control of the Ypres Salient.
Experience six fast-paced, divisional-level campaigns spanning 1914 to 1918, from the desperate defense of First Ypres to the final Allied advance in Flanders. Face the introduction of new warfare elements, including gas attacks, creeping barrages, tanks and aircraft. You will need to adapt your strategy in each scenario, balancing risk, timing, and resources to secure victory in intense battles.
We’re looking for your feedback.
Join the beta and share your thoughts, your insights are invaluable to shape and balance the DLC.

Not in this DLC. But those are favorites and we may have time in the future for them.

Ypres should be a good one. Looking forward to it.
It is nice you are adding more to this nice game.
I also yearn greatly for a Gallipoli DLC. Imagine a zoomed in version of that battle like you did with Okinawa in the Strategic Command Pacific War - a sheer delight for fans of Gallipoli. I love that battle.
If you include the naval aspect in the Dardanelles - a genius plan by Churchill ruined by mines - it could be enhanced by allowing a naval battle with the Turkish navy upon making it through the Dardanelles to meet the powerful German cruisers given to Turkey named Yavuz Sultan Selim and Midilli (I had to look those up). That would be a fun naval battle to give the crews some normal action after the arduous struggle through the Dardanelles.

The Battles for Ypres DLC sounds like a great addition for WWI strategy fans, especially with the focus on divisional-level campaigns and evolving battlefield mechanics such as gas attacks, tanks, and creeping barrages. I particularly like how each scenario appears to require a different tactical approach rather than relying on the same strategy throughout the campaign.
The discussion around Gallipoli, Mesopotamia, and the Arab Revolt is also interesting because those theaters could bring a completely different style of gameplay and historical challenges. Expanding into those regions in future DLCs would give players even more variety and replay value.
As someone who enjoys exploring detailed strategy discussions on a site like this, it's always exciting to see developers actively listening to community feedback and involving players during the beta phase.
