RTW3: New v1.01.34 Public Beta Now Available

Hello everyone 👋🏻

There's a new public beta which focusses on the Expanded Battles DLC. You can access it by downloading it from the Rule the Waves 3 store page and from My Page, or from the following Download Link: HERE

For Steam users, you can switch to it by going to RTW3 in your Steam Library, right-clicking on it, choosing Properties -> Betas -> then choosing the latest beta branch from the drop-down list and allowing Steam to update your game. If it updates correctly, you should see the latest beta version listed as your version in-game on the bottom right. Make sure you have the DLC enabled (Properties -> DLC)!

V1.01.34 - March 25th, 2026

Preferences
- Added button to reset preferences in preferences screen.

AI
- Fixed a problem with ships sometimes going the wrong way when withdrawing to base.

Battle Generation
- Fixed a quirk with a minelaying mission and the objective being on land.
- Fixed missing invasion objective in Albania.

Strategic Map
- Added Alghero base to Sardinia to prevent Italian ships being blocked on the wrong side of Sardinia.

UI
- Removed the header "Commander" from the possessions overview tab.

Ship Design
- Blocked triple and quadruple gun mounts on DD (this was never intended to be legal).

Fleet Management
- Fixed a bug with setting Fleet flag or Scout flag division role not sticking.

Quick Battles
- Carriers without certain numbers or calibres of guns are no longer disallowed when designing ships for a quick battle.
- Manually designed carriers will now have aircraft in the battle.
- Added option to ignore design errors when designing or loading ships in quick battles.

Scenarios and Scenario Editor
- Fixed a bug that generated error messages when adding an air unit to a scenario if no ship or base was selected.
- Added design files for Japanese carriers and German cruisers and destroyers.
- Fixed wrong fire control on Prince of Wales & KGV.
- Fixed a bug with the user Ship Designs directory being ignored in the hierarchy described in the manual when looking for ship design files.
- Fixed wrong month in Eastern Solomons scenario.
