B1825.15 Retargeting issue?

I've noticed a strange issue regarding the retargeting of anti-air missiles. I'm not sure if it's a bug, but this behavior seems strange to me. I've attached a test scenario and screenshots to explain the issue.

We have a single Arleigh Burke-class ship and four air targets, in this case, MiG-25s. To ensure a successful shot, I'm launching two groups of four RIM-156A missiles with a 30-second delay. According to my logic, if half of the missiles from the first group hit their targets and the other half miss, the remaining four missiles from the second group will be evenly distributed among the remaining two targets. To demonstrate this, I've removed one of the MiG-25s using the editor, and the missiles automatically targeted the remaining three targets, indicating that the retargeting mechanism is working. However, if a target is destroyed naturally, the remaining missiles do not distribute among the remaining targets and continue flying blindly without any guidance.

I delete Boogie 48 through the editor, and the same missile is redirected to Boogie 50.

Some missiles from the first group hit, some miss. As a result, only one of the four missiles from the second group is heading towards the target, the rest are left without targeting and flying blindly, although they should have been aiming at the last plane.

As far as I remember, this mechanism used to work correctly, and missiles that were left without a target were automatically redirected to other targets. However, for some reason, this only works when the target is removed using the editor, which seems incorrect. I used manual fire control, but the situation remains the same in automatic mode. This problem greatly reduces the capabilities of modern weapons systems, which can change their target after launch using a communication channel between the carrier and the missile itself.

If I'm missing something or doing something wrong, and there's a logical explanation, I'd appreciate receiving clarification from other players or the support team.
