My Opponent is going on Vacation in my other game so Im pausing that AAR for a bit

So I was looking at Norm Kogers The Operational Art of War 3

I looked around the AAR stuff to see what's changed and things from this game and I Stumbled upon Larrys AAR and he was talking about severing Vietnam and It got me thinking it really touched me because one of my family members lost someone in 1967 he was part of 9th Marine Expeditionary Brigade I think he arrived in the same Year he passed in, I really lack more info too know what he was doing at that time My history is not the best when it comes to that war

My only understanding was Napalm, Helicopters, and VC in the Jungles

So we are going dive into a war I have no idea about I got a new Opponent he's around my age so should be good

I'm playing NLF he has the Allies

there wont be any real Pics or fancy stuff this will be a normal AAR I'm keeping the other one more detailed

Turn 2

So I forgot to save the turn So I lost that one but we didn't do much we just blew some bridges up and ran Away The ARVN sent a Air unit towards my Location I think he might drop right on top of me those air units are fast

I'm planning more bridge blowing then I'm disbanding and going underground

The Documents are very nice explaining things my goal is too just hike his EEV Im not all too Comfortable fighting US/ARVN guys head on

Speaking of US Troops it doesn't seem like there is any on the map yet that I can see Just ARVN and they seem to really suck with going into reorg a lot not sure how his Airborne units will be but i dont want me above the Dirt when his Air shows up...

Up here we have guys near Saigon I was thinking of maybe Hitting Saigon to make him Panic to show him that are Guerillas are everywhere

Speaking of Guerilla Warfare I do have a decent understanding of Guerilla Tactics, and I feel will apply to are game here, we will be employing a lot of hit and Run Tactics Im planning on soon hitting some cites as well I heard that ARVN Regional forces are static so we can hit them and take their VPs

Turn 3

Wasn't expecting all these Guerrillas to show up at this time I'm sure we had control of maybe 65%? there's lots of areas where we control in the country and I'm not sure if the ARVN is up for the task of finding me he will need to call in US Troops

So i blew a rail line and we fled back into the jungles/marsh

otherwise nothing else in this area looks like he droped a ARVN Ranger on top of me in the Marsh so hes gone

we will blow more rails and take more towns

Here near Saigon we Ambush a ARVN HQ and failed to push him off the river so no luck there otherwise we could have blown the Rail in this area and would be pretty bad for him since I think this is the only Rail in the Delta

we got more guys that just came so good for us we will plan soon on what to do with them maybe take a town

looks like Marines and MACV Support have been called in and he has started Aid too the South Vietnam Government so will be harder to get VPs but VPs Anit the thing I'm going for and he doesn't know that Its the EEV Spikes that I'm planning for

If i went wild the vps would go up too fast and end are game before we even touch 1970s so im putting a limit on how "Wild" I go with the VCs durinng monsoon

no im not planning a game for sudden death the Docs say you can go Grind and I prefer grinding

I see a lone ARVN Ranger in the Jungle wish I could surround him but that will have to be a better position for that and i kinda dont want to waste manpower when we are not at peak at the momment
