Lack of Replacements

Hi, I have a remnant unit, the 6/7th Marine Rgt, 1st Marine Division which has 105 infantry and 1628 second line troops (for an assualt strength of 6). It was magically reconstituted in Noumea after its parent unit and most of the regiment's primary infantry were destroyed while landing during an invasion. It has not received replacements for more than 90 days. The unit is more or less useless as it is.

From old threads I've read, I expect that the creation of this unit is a glitch having to do with the loss of the parent unit. Is there any way of disbanding or withdrawing the unit (the way aircraft squadrons are) in order to redistribute the men elsewhere? Is there any way of losing some of the second line troops so that the unit can be used as a "raider" battalion (ie reduce it supply and transport load costs).

Well at least you can use it as a support unit at some rear area base.
I have the remnants of 21 Aus Bde - 88 infantry and 14 support troops, all that I managed to "Dunkerque" from Port Moresby when it fell.
They're brave lads but I think I'd rather have 10 times as many not so brave ones.
