So, the latest patches added a GID(Game ID) to the reports that sit in your reports folder.
That means it is now easier to parse them.
Built a tool in single HTML file. Open it in Chrome/Edge/Firefox, point it at your Reports folder, done (should be something like ..\Matrix Games\War in Spain 1936-39\Reports). Reports from older versions will be a problem, as they don't have the ID in their filename, so to use the tool i recomend you to clean your report folders from older files.
No install, no upload — everything runs locally.
The tool parses the Combat/Ops/Intel reports and gives you:
Managed to map the reeinforcements and ship arrivals to the map locations, you should be able to view them in the battle map
Added 2 new graphs in the campaign history view: Total casualties and battle results per day
Download in the attachments
Feedback welcome.

The tool parses the Combat/Ops/Intel reports and gives you:
- Daily Briefing — casualties by side, top battles, air/naval activity, repair-blocked ships, recon, prioritized action items.
- Battle Map — Spain by province coloured by battle control, with per-hex zoom and overlays for sightings, reinforcements, intel.
- Chronicle — newspaper-style summary of the day's main event, built from the parsed data with the game text underneath (and some spanish in it for immersion).
- Campaign history - stats and numbers adding up as the game progresses.
