I'm seeing a issue where my settings for ship construction is set to suggestion only. Meaning any ship construction has to be approved to be built.

Yet for some reason the AI is building ships and bypassing that setting for fleets. The AI made a fleet and its the 2nd Fleet as the 1st is manual controlled. It added 15 escort ships with 4 fuel tankers. Once tech for frigates happened it built the frigates. Same for the destroyer class, as it built them without APPROVAL. I watched my money go from 1189mil down to 750k in less than a minute.

Why is the Fleet ship mangement setting allowing the AI to bypass the ship construction setting!!!!!

Post a before and after save and a screenshot of your build settings....GP

What are your fleet management settings set to? We added a set of new policies to direct automation on fleet management, which may include building additional ships to make sure fleets are topped up with ships.

I'm waiting on Steam, but is there still a manual setting?....GP

There's a Fleet Ship Management policy under the Fleets tab that can override your construction settings, as it influences how the AI keeps your fleets topped up. If you want to make sure the AI doesn't build ships for you, make sure that ship construction is on manual and also fleet ship management as well.
