Just sent the first turn back on a PBEM. I'm always thinking about changes to the game or what if scenarios. Yea, I know it's a sad life. I like that the alternate scenarios give the game bit of a change. I am open to comments. I've wanted to do a scenario where I and another player rewrote history and played it out.
So, some of the things I'm thinking about changing. One is coastal defense guns. I think they are a little anemic. The values of the naval guns and the equivalent CD guns are the same, Land based guns don't have to worry about a pitching or rolling deck, they also have pre plotted ranges and so on. In my mind they should be more accurate. My thoughts are to increase the accuracy of the guns, just the CD guns. If I am wrong let me know, give me a rationale. Mines also seem anemic. Ships run through a minefield once and only get one maybe 2 hits and that's it. I know production numbers are low, due to mines being to overpower in the early versions. I am thinking of increasing mine numbers and maybe increasing accuracy of them also. The last time I really played into the game, ships that convert into ACMs didn't keep the minefields intact like the ships that come in as ACMs. This might have been fixed in a recent beta.
I think China needs some extra supply generation and maybe less disablements in LCUs and aircraft. Let's start with this and see how much flak I catch?
