In my latest game, one of my best friends / neighbors lost a war and ended up vassalized by the Dhayut, who are no ones friends. As you can imagine, this did not make me happy - we have a +122 relationship.

Request: if a friendly nation is losing a war, would they PLEASE ask for help? And would they please ask to become my vassal (dragging me into their war with the Dhayut, in this case) before they surrender?

Getting blindsided like this caused me to ragequit, and am I now deciding just how many autosaves I will need to go back to to keep it from happening again.

Were you allied with the faction or just have good relations?

Defense pact, operations, intelligence, and a bunch of others.

Did they form a defensive pact with you before their war with the Dhayut or after?

Not sure. Pretty sure they started the war though. And there were no "lost planet to..." warnings. I am also wondering why you can offer to subjugate yourself, but not demand subjugation, and if the wrong side is submitting to the other. The save "TheyLost" is 13.5 megs 7zipped. Same universe as the no Akdarian space pirates.

Why should pact be important, if at least one contract, they should ask for help. Maby you can rescue your last save, if race is not deleted in ingame editor. If race is deleted I ask since game release to fix this!

A notification if someone is doing genocide would be also nice. Only a living universe makes fun.
