Can't believe no one has mentioned it yet.
It's hard for me to follow the games live since they are played at an ungodly hour.
Impressions so far
-USA got a strong start
- Brazil, not impressive at all
- Don't play South Africa without brass knuckles

I've tried to feel some enthusiasm about it, but failed for some time. That so many matches will be played in the middle of the night did not help.
However, I went up at 4 AM to watch Sweden and they had a surprisingly solid effort and that help some. Although I have doubts that the Swedish defence will be strong enough against more solid teams.
Still, I doubt that I watch more than a few games that are played during the night.

Saw that too. The idea is fine, since that stuff is an acquired taste.

Just back from a vacation tour with many Aussies, One of them gave me a tiny flat packet of vegemite and told me it would do four pieces of toast, and that most people slather too much on and can't handle the taste for that reason.
I think it's an Aussie secret weapon to control the number of visitors to their country ...

Here in the USA, we have learned the following: NO SCOTLAND, NO PARTY. We also learned to place traffic cones on statues while being invaded by William Wallace's army. All jokes aside, it's been a pleasure hosting the World Cup 2026.
