A specific question on Kull's spreadsheet...

Hey, guys, if I'm supposed to put a question underneath where Kull's spreadsheet is posted about, I'll start doing that. I don't want to mess up any protocol.
Allied setup.
Lines 1172-1177
Create a TF in Hong Kong.
There's a part that says "absolute". Can anyone tell me what that means? I have been searching the unit play cards for something that I can set to absolute, but am coming up empty.

I do not have the spreadsheet open right now, but it probably means to set the threat tolerance to "Absolute" so they will do their best to get away and not abort the mission because of Japanese air and naval superiority.

Are you chatting about turn 2 strategy? I was of the understanding that on turn 1 tha Allies can't create any new TFs... they can unite or split existing TFs but.....do I have this wrong?

The Kull spreadsheet is from Turn 2. It presupposes you already ran Turn 1 and got historical results.

Ahh, that makes sense! Thank you.

I agree with this. You won't find the threat tolerance setting on the ship screen - it's for the TF so go to that screen and select the Routing Orders. I always set Direct and Absolute routing if I am near the enemy and the mission must not abort. For warships and troop convoys I choose a good commander with high naval and medium-high aggression (and guts).
In extreme threat environments the TF can still change its routing during turn execution to save itself.
