[WAD] CPU fan active

Hello and welcome, this is an English-speaking forum.
What you are describing is known behavior; the way that Command processes events during idle (ie. scen not running) has changed since IIRC CMO v1.07 for a number of reasons. This has resulted in one core being fully engaged even when a scenario is not executing.
There are various ways to compensate for that; for example, you can use programs like Fan-Control to precisely control the fan behavior on your system.
Thanks.

There has been an improvement here with respect to the CPU, at least in my laptop.
From 16% to 8% while idle. This happens since B1852, reported in the thread linked below.
https://forums.matrixgames.com/viewtopi ... 4#p5222264
I think that now it is the GPU, while idle, what causes more fan noise. In the pic, CMO is minimized so the GPU use is 0%.
But it is 32% (nVidia) or 40% (Intel) while iddle and maximized, and just with the Borders and Coastlines map layer. If you add more layers, more GPU, especially with the Intel.
Can something be done to reduce the GPU usage while idle and only the Borders and Coastlines layer?
For comparison. In the old laptop HD I have B1500 and can connect to it through a USB, this build was already 64 bits and DirectX 11, this is CMO idle, maximized and with Borders and Coastlines. And GPU0 is the Intel one not the nVidia.
These changes happened from builds 15xx to 16xx, from 10% GPU use to 40%, Intel.

A table to see the differences better. CMO idle, maximized, map layer only Borders + Coastlines.

Adding the CPU to the table, and not only % increase, but also percentage points. Much more in %, but less in pp, with respect to the GPUs.

I mean sure, we can undo the changes that led to where we are at the moment. Of course this will cancel the fixes to the problems that created these changes in the first place.
Then, when people start asking "hey, didn't you fix [this problem] and [that problem] a while back? Why is this now happening again?"... we can tell them we fixed them indeed, but a few users didn't like the spike on their CPU and GPU loads and they were very vocal about it.
Then both camps can have a mud-wrestling tournament, and the winner will get a cookie.

Well, AFAIK only 3 people have reported this fan noise problem when idle.
The other camp must be many more.
Give them the cookie.

Thank you for your quick and detailed answers; while the situation may seem normal to you from a technical point of view, for me as a gamer it remains a development anomaly; unfortunately, I will have to turn to the competition and abandon this game that I loved and in which I had invested a lot of time and effort.

For some reason I get flashbacks to this:
