Hey

I love this game, i respect your effort.
But still I kind of fell it could be made much more accessible and fun to play if there would better on map information.
Instead of fancy plane animation I would love game to focus map in place where battle or naval engagement happe. I would love to see movement of units during turn resolution ( similar for example for ageod games)
I don’t understand why one cannot have on map view of which unit is subordinated to which HQ, what are supply levels of units and how supply flows. And clear gragphical decription of OOB.
I know all that can be found in units panel.
I just fell that playing land warfare here fells harded and takes much more time that in games such as TOAW, or GG War in the East II, or Deceisive Campaigns.
Sorry for bringng that examples but I fell that there are some easy, simple and tested solutions for user experience that could make next titles in that game more accessible for new commers

Best of luck for you guys.

You are of course right....

I know the games HOI, 2by3, TOAW, and a few others quite well.

Honestly:
This is an absolutely unique engine
The original idea of Gary Grisbi (and I actively support it, he was a genius) is developed here almost to perfection.
There is no strategy game that can depict war in the air, on the sea and on the ground like this.....
I may get into an argument with someone here, but I stand by what I write....

This is the first part of a new series.
The authors and the programmer are experiencing hot times and popularity is declining....
(SCW is also a heavy topic...)
Improving the AE engine in a significant way is not such an easy task.
I am honestly writing things here that no one will praise me for.
But that is part of life.
I trust an extremely hardworking programmer that the engine and its controls will be improved.

I know. I love it. I just fell that map could provide more information about units without a need to enter unit panel. Like corps/division attachment, supply level and network and so on.

Just like most of the war games do. Just as most of the people are used to - and I belive it would make game more accesible and more of a commercial success.

I am not familiar with the copyrighting, etc, but if this could be merged with WITP-AE, to basically update that game with better graphics and performance (and a better map, which WiS has), that would be amazing, and I think would sell

I vote for them quashing any remaining major bugs, and then add the bells and whistles.

I do like the idea about highlighting HQ's and I'd like to add if it's possible to make the bottom window collapsible or if not collapsible then maybe make it smaller. It takes up a lot of screen area and it has a lot of empty space inside the box.

This really is a great game, which surprised me. I do agree that it's not an easy game to learn and that could be turning some people away. Me personally, I love games like this, but you already got my money. :D One thing that I was wondering is why this game wasn't sold on Steam. Most Matrix/Slithering games sell on Steam where they can get more exposure. Just exercising my curiosity.
