netplay crashes

I have tried 3.02 and 8.00 (uninstalled and re-installed)--no joy. I get a CRASH screen (see attached). I have saved the crash file (debug file) on my harddrive.
I have searched the forums, but no bueno. NetPlayReg.txt is updated as suggested--I THINK?

Update: It seems to crash at the "Verifying the serial number":" and I hit continue it tries to log me into netplay (shows my username from the netplayreg.txt file) when I connect on my laptop (same network)?
EDIT: I have sent 2 crash dump files via email.

I would PM an "active" moderator (i.e., maybe not Steve or maybe Steve and someone else too). I think that's your best bet for help.
Personal, I've never even attempted netplay so I have no clue on this issue.

Thanks--I will message them via email and/or PM. I do believe when I first got the game installed it worked?

Uh, which "steve" in the developer list? I am a lurker on this forum--not familiar with all the devs. TANKS!

Howdy--PM'd Steve--no joy.
Anybody have a fix for this bug?
I opened up the bugreport.txt:
exception message : Socket Error # 10054 Connection reset by peer.
I even DUCK.AI/GROK it. Checked all the socket reccomended, etc. NOPE.

I had a similar one, can't remember if exactly the same, after one reinstall because of a change of computer.
It was many years ago, so i cannot remember so well, but I think it was related to my password/user in Slitherine (Matrix), maybe you want to contact them. I will try to find my posts on this and be back.

Joseignacio--TANKS! But, Alas, NO JOY. I asked the DUCK.AI link and tried ALL those things. Got past the reset error by logging onto my VPN--but then the connection got severed by: Connection Closed Gracefully "error". Ugh.
Lastly, I made sure my passwords matched on both sites.
I give up.

Yes, sir. Sent an email and opened up a ticket. Tanks!
Note: I remember when I first installed the game, ver 3.0, and showed it to my buddies (we are playing the actual WiF CE and DOD III and got them all a copy for Christmas), it worked fine? Strange.
