Dive Bombers out of reach for A2A while diving.

When a Dive bomber Dives it gets hit by low level Flak which can reach it at 1k altitude. (works)
But.
When a DiveBomber Dives (which is flying its mission at an altitude above the maximun enemy fighter altitude), it will remain out of reach for enemy fighters in regards to A2A combat (no matter if ESCORT or PATROL fighters).
→ e.g. when flying at 40k altitude while enemy fighter planes only have a "max altitude" of 35k they are never able to intercept the dive bomber.
This is related to this subject where Escorting planes teleport altitudes to intercept. But in this case highlighted above they can't since they can not teleport to the altitude the planes fly at before diving (understandably) and they also do not realize the dive altitude (or do fail to teleport there in time).
