Walk Through of D-Day Landings of all Beaches by the Allies

This post is for the Walk Through of every Beach (Utah, Omaha, Sword, Juno, and Gold) on how to get ashore quickly and start moving inland. Happy reading and pushing counters.
I am going to do a step-by-step of my beach landings on how to do them. How to attack, what ships to use, and what cards to use for those shifts on the CRT on each and every hex. That way you can mimic my D-Day landings.

****Full disclosure****
Due to the unforeseen random numbers that come up during each battle I cannot guarantee any result of any battle hex. The following walkthrough was from my game and just posting here to help those that maybe having issues getting ashore. Please use these at your own risk of working or not working for you. Thank you.
There are 14 beachhead units I will talk about. Some units on one beach will help a neighbor beach so please be aware that this could happen and I will try and say this during the writeup. Here is the Map of the beaches for quick reference.

Combat Supply
Before we get into each of the beaches it is "highly" recommended that all attacking units be given "combat supply". That means the United States 4th Inf Div, 29th Inf Div, 1st Inf Div, the US Rangers (V Corps), British 50th Div, Candadian 3rd Div, British 3rd Inf Div, and the British Special forces. Don't be like me and forget to give 4th Inf Div combat supply

.... (I gave them move supply by my own stupidty thinking I gave them Combat supply now that I look at it. Don't make my mistake, give them combat supply)

You will see the attack factors double. You will also notice on the counter it will say "combat supported" (marked with yellow box)

Utah Beach
When setting up the battles draw those assest from these three selections. Please note that you can have a max of two command cards to a battle. You can have as many ships you want ( (afaik)

#1 Tare Green Beach
Here is what you will see Turn 2 for Tare & Uncle beaches (I messed up and gave move supply and not command supply, I am sure I will be demoted)

Here is the beach without counters. The first beach is
Tare Green in the Picture with
Uncle Red the 2nd beach.

We begin with
Tare Green beach with the following setup for attacks that I used on
Tare Green
----Please note my units are not combat supplied

. Please ensure you give combat supply to your units and you can do more attacks in other hexes than I did. But for this write-up I am just going to go forward with what I did.
* Select both units and drag directly onto the battle hex (hex 2520)
* Select 22nd Inf Regt 3 (the one with the bigger Combat value in the picture)
* Put on Assault (right click on the battle hex and just press the red arrow button till you get a BIGGER red arrow than before(white arrow is pointing to where to press) (note either unit on assault works since you really want to get the "intensity" of the battle as high as possible to cause a retreat or elimination. But putting units on assault increases casualties so just put one on assault since that is all you really need to raise the intensity level.
* The two yellow arrows point to the command cards you put on this battle, select the two cards for this fight
* The red arrow points to the one ship for this fight - choose it and add to the battle

Omaha Beach
Here we have 6 beaches to storm including Point du hoc. I don't put much weight on Point du hoc so will get minimum support. Here is the snapshot of the beaches with units.

Here is the beach area without counters and numbered for reference. 3 Point Du Hoc, 4 & 5 Charlie Dog (2 attack vectors), 6 Easy Green, 7 Easy Red, and 8 Fox

#3 Point Du Hoc
Yes, I did pay for combat supply for the Rangers

- Rangers.png (205.04 KiB) Viewed 45 times
Straight up combat just pull the ranger unit onto the German strongpoint. Nothing to set and the Ranger because of the unit's quality already has a two-column shift on the defending German. Nothing else to do here. Again, I didn't waste any other resources on this attack which is sorely needed elsewhere on Omaha

#4 Charlie Dog
This is #4 on the map (hex 33.24 (Press Y for coordinates))
Yes I remembered to buy the combat supply for the 29th Inf division
* Select both 29 Inf battalions in the hex and drop over the hex (hex 33.24) (The Ranger unit will attack another hex). Plus we don't want our integrity to go lower on the attack thus keeping it as high as possible without intermixing different units from different divisions.
* right click on the battle hex
* Put one unit on Assault (right click on the battle hex and just press the red arrow button till you get a BIGGER red arrow than before(white arrow is pointing to where to press) (note either unit on assault works since you really want to get the "intensity" of the battle as high as possible to cause a retreat or elimination.
