My game vs ThunderLizard11

I was really looking forward to playing TL11 and expected a real challenge as he’s top of the rankings.
Sadly that proved not to be the case. The Axis made steady progress in taking Poland & France but the Japanese offensive in China was below par. Japanese losses mounted & quickly exceeded those suffered by the Chinese.
Barbarossa was launched in July but struggled, despite the Germans not committing anything to NA. The Italians sent 4 infantry Corps & an HQ to IEA but they all died as did the remaining Italian forces in NA.
Pearl Harbour left several US units unmolested and the Chinese continued to dish out punishment. Due to the poor Japanese gains in China, the USAAF were able to site Strat Bombers near Sian and reduce most of the ports, including Port Arthur, to restrict Japanese MPPs.
RN losses were minimal and the U-boat threat neutralised. In the Pacific, IJN ships were picked off with relative ease.
The game was effectively over by March ’42 when Romania surrendered to Russian paras but we played on. Italy surrendered in Dec ’42. After that there was virtually no pressure or peril to the Allies across the board. Casualties were being taken, especially to German tanks, but Russian morale & ground units quickly exceeded Germany’s.
These are our respective losses in July 1943:
Astonishingly, the RN had lost just 1 ship. The USN suffered no additional losses after PH.
I’m a great believer in learning from defeats and I guess TL11’s win record shows he’s not had too much to learn. A closer look at his opponents reveals mainly inexperienced or complete newcomers to the game. I’ve encouraged him to seek out more challenging opponents to improve his game but if his only aim to stay at the top of the ladder I suspect he’ll continue as he is.
When he’s winning he regularly commends his defeated opponents on their fast play. In a period during our game he played 10 turns over a 34 day period with no comms or explanation.
I’ve offered a rematch but received no response.
