Do we know how much is the DLC and how much is the patch? A fair bit of this, other than actually playing as a pirate faction / age of shadows, seems to be in the base game. I'm not that interested in playing as a pirate faction in the Age of Shadows, but I like what I have seen about better interactions with pirates, junkyards, and planetary minors in the base game.

The most concerning thing for me in this expansion - can AI does all this stuff effectively too as a human player does? If majority of AI pirates will struggle to evolve into standard empires or never build Anarchopolis it would be very disappointing... In Distant Worlds 1 pirates often suffered from such complicated mechanics...

The AI should be able to utilize the tools available to it adequately and help make the galaxy more alive and dynamic.
