Hello everyone,

I have a question regarding supply for Japanese units defending Pacific islands while playing this game.

As shown in the screenshot:
My Japanese naval marine units are defending an island and hold a supply point. This supply point provides a supply level of 5.

One US marine unit is adjacent to my forces. This is the only enemy unit next to my supply point. The Americans have not used strategic bombers to reduce the supply level of this supply point.

Normally, a supply point with level 5 supply should allow units holding it to replenish their strength up to 8. However, in this case, my Japanese units can only replenish up to strength 5. Japan has sufficient funds, so this is not a money shortage issue.

This issue seriously impacts Japan’s island defense plans in the Pacific theatre.

I would like to ask what causes this limitation. Is there any way for the Japanese units to recover up to strength 8?

This is because any units that are surrounded on all adjacent land hexes by enemy units can only reinforce to a maximum of strength 5.
