A Japanese division crossed the river into Chengchow, igniting a shock attack on Chinese LCUs in Chengchow. Now, Is it normal, that during a shock attack across river not a single artillery device gets disabled/destroyed? That was a pretty big battle with lots of losses on both sides. Mind you, the game counts Japanese AAMGs in LCUs as guns.

Or maybe artillery devices only get disabled/destroyed when hex ownership changes place? Right now , the two sides occupy the same hex after the battle.

The guns usually are not in the first line in the assault, they would be firing in support and then moving across when a bridgehead on the other side is established.

Chinese have almost no artillery
