The Naval Formation Editor appears as shown in the attached image and is not functioning. Oddly, this issue only occurs in specific scenarios. Could you please advise on how to resolve this?

There is a strange group with 0 units, it is Air, not Naval, but perhaps has broken all groups in the save?

Deleting it does not solve the problem though.

May you post the original scenario?




Why is a Lua error? Just created a new scenario with no Lua and the Naval Formation Editor is loaded perfectly.

This is the scenario. I played it after updating the DB to the latest version. However, the issue where the Naval Formation Editor does not launch remains the same in the original scenario as well.

Thanks for the original scenario, that strange group is a different problem then.


After some testing I know what it is.

It works for the Taiwan and China sides, for the China side the loading is a bit slow.

So it is related with the USA/Japan side.

Deleted everything and still happened.

It is the name, "USA/Japan" what is not supported by the Naval Formation Editor.

Also more than 20 ships are not supported, the group with 22 will not appear in the list.


Note that renaming the side may have consequences for the events.
