Since there is not going to be any more updates, is there a way I can get the beta so I can play the AI?

Why? It doesn't work, to put it bluntly.

I agree 100%. The only aspect of the Soviet AI that works well is the initial Soviet setup. In my view that aspect is outstanding. After that, the Soviet AI is dismal, buggy and one is very lucky to get through a game turn without a game stopping bug.
