Two New Titans

Okay, here we go...

First, there's the Voulge; the machine is pretty straightforward, just hose him until you can use those pretty saws. The Voulge has a DCS and a shield, as well as the heat regulator and power supply to use it almost continuously, so closing in should not be much of a problem. In case the opponent tries to run, there's 2 Large Lasers and a EM Pulser.
Keep an eye on the power consumption of the EMP, though.

The next one is the Blaze, a rather quick design after nearly getting nailed by a crucible yesterday. I liked the quad flamer, but the thing needed some punch at longer ranges. Unable to fit all the stuff I wanted into a medium frame, it ended up as a heavy. Preliminary tests show it to be rather effective, but I want a second opinion. Pretty much a no-frills design, besides the napalm smell.

The forum refuses the .zip attachment. Sorry folks, seems you'll only get the blueprints...

On the Blaze, why not a nm7 instead of a srm8? :)

I was able to weaken him enough to take him out in close combat, but I was impressed by the sheer badassness of it's weapons up close. I went from "barely scratched" to "battered and almost beaten" in less than 30 seconds. Still, you only get a medium laser at longer ranges, and that felt inadequate. Time for some improvements.

Simple. 16 damage points as opposed to 7, plus a single NM rack does not raise the target's heat enough to make a difference. I prefer some additional firepower, and that's what the SRM provides.

You can easily exchange it against whatever suits your taste more; the SRM was taken because the intended jock was quite proficient with unguided missiles. I might as well have installed an AC4, a GME rack or a LMG. But hey, I have a certain weakness for missile swarms. And melee attacks.

Your sig sounds strangely familiar. Who or what is it from?

It's the Bene Gesserit Litany against Fear, taken from Frank Herbert's book "Dune".

I 'think' my sig also has it's origins from a Bene Gesserit saying from somewhere in the "Dune" series... just can't remember which book.. and at best it's paraphrased ;)
Silvermane, you wouldn't happen to recall which book it's from would you?

Yep, you need a heavy to get improvements on a quad flamer. With a Heavy you can really open up move options. Crucible was obviously designed for ambushs.. as far as it's 'long-range weapon' only reason I even put it there was to start forest fires without using ammo. The original version didn't even have JJ, but I added level 1 or 2 jumps so that the AI could use it in an airdrop and it could 'quick-climb' a hill. Later revisions increased it's jump ability.. which is cool for DFA. Last night I played a 'fun' game where I sent a duelist from ice cold to exploding engine within 3-4 recycles. I think the Duelist got to swing each chainsaw.... once :D

Finally! Okay, here's the titans, screw the blueprints.

@Sleeping Dragon:

No idea where that quote might have been from; I'm not that much of a Dune fan to have read all of the books (frankly, I worked my way through the first book for a Fading Suns campaign and quickly forgot about the dune universe afterwards).

Maybe someone else can help out?

attachments... mmmmmmm Printouts... blahhhh :D

Blaze: you have have enough leftover wieght to add an AP to the CBT, I would also swap the location of the Scanner and ECM... better to lose the ECM then the scanner, IMO.

Voulge: 1mm too much armor on CBT, can't use it anywhere, but cuts cost by a nickle :)
