First one who succeeded in beating C3M7 and who will provide a screenshot and a save game to prove will be ultimate hero of TOS: WS !!!

I'm on map 6 of the Meta. campain. I'll try it for the 5th time later tonight, maybe I can get through it this time. All I can say for sure is the 'real' Iceman would NEVER run ahead of his support and take on a whole squad by himself.... well... not on a good day anyway.
This campain has been my favorite so far. Nice story to tie the missions together.
BTW. Iceman If I can't get through map #6 in the next 2 tries, I'm going to BRG you myself! That should slow you up a bit!!

Ahhh! I'm only on mission 3! I'll have it done by this weekend. Then I'll probably start another squad and do the campaigns all over again.
This is also my favorite campaign so far. I think Marga should make a sequel for it.

To add to Larkins idea of the campaign-race

:
The winner who proves to have finished and won c3m7 gets a "Titans of Steel: Warring Suns" Beer Mug, which I will sign and dedicate to this person (and Larkin will put his name on it, too, I'm sure).
I've received a Tos:WS beer mug recently (thanks, Eric) and have to say: looks very nice and is the best beer cooler I ever had

As some players have more time to play than others I suggest that we wait for a few more weeks and then look who has won the c3m7 mission. If there are more than one winner the winners have to shoot it out like in a tournament, what do you think? If you like this idea, at what time (which day this year) should we stop this race...?
suggestions?

I'm up to what everyone else wants

See I'm not hard to get along with.
Although you might exclude me from the race since.. ummm. uhhhhh... I got got Dead twice.. and I then I got mad... since I wanted to finish the campains without training new jocks.... sooo... ummmm... I quit the battles before they ended and paid out hard earned cash to retrieve my team. So I broke my own rule I guess I'M A CHEATERHEAD!!
Just let us know if retrivals are allowed.

Nah... if you shelled out the dough, you didn't cheat. You utilized one of the options available to you.
Now if you instead had reloaded your squad file from a backup copy...

Well, I've made it through map 6... FINALLY and didn't even have to BRG Iceman... maybe next time :p
Will try out map 7 late tonight or tommorow.. don't expect to win it soon if it's anything like map 6. Did ya'll give the enemies enough Big F****** Guns?.... Fine ya'll want to play like that.... I can play like that too... You get a big gun, I'll find a bigger one. Had to buy a Bonecrusher and a Fog Giant to play rough with.... Plenty of smoke to go around and some nice big deep holes in thier armor to spare. There's something to be said for brute force!
Very tough map... but VERY fun! Had to re-think tactics several times. Excellent mission!

Map 7....

you people are sick!!! Maybe in 1 week or 2... need to train another jock and special design titans for this one. Not to mention build up some more cash.. just spend 700,000 to retrieve my 'not-so-living' squad and have a feeling I'll be doing that several more times.
How's your progress Voidhawk? You having as much trouble with these as I am?

Come on. Marga already made it a lot easier than it was first time. I must admitt though that I never made it once I was testing it .....
... but it should be easier now

It's sorta like being sat on by an elephant.. This elephant may not be as big as the last one..... but it's still an elephant!:D
I difinatly see that its doable, I just need a 5th 'sucide' jock with really good piloting/jump skills for my plan to work.. then agian we all know how plans tend to turn out. :p

After reading all this, I have to say I'm trepidatious about even
trying this campaign.
Who am I kidding? Of
course I will.

Two weeks of training a 5th jock and a team way over-experienced but I FINALLY made it!!! My plan worked liked it was suppose to, and my 'sucide jock' didn't even die... just got his leg shot off. This one is TOUGH!
Final Victory Screen (edited for major spoilers is attached, save game from last autosave upon request).
I think this is the most experience I've even gotten in one battle! (it should be it was close to 4300secs of game time) My team leaders titan's CBT armor was down to 1 point before I made it to an armor bay about 2/3 the way through....WHEW!!! although one of her torsos did end up missing. Sometimes that one extra point of armor is worth it's weight in gold!
Ammo was a huge factor in this one and if it wasn't for sneaking into an ammo bay from the rear late in the game with my GM titan (who had been out of ammo a loooong time) I'm not sure I could have won it.
Nice job guys... this one was a real challenge!

Wow, Marga, you have a sick mind when it comes to creating campaigns. I like it.
As most of you know, I like my titans to be very large, and very well armored, and overkill just means I did a good job. This missions wasn't any different. I did end up having to buy a few recons for a couple of the missions, but I finished mission 7 with a squad of 8 assaults, with ranks raning from Veteran to Ace. I didn't lose anyone, though a couple had heavy damage.
Edit: Having problems getting an attachment up here...
There we go. Silly thing.
That's two of us. Anyone else out there close?

You may not want to view those victory shots if you haven't played through android rebellion and metaborator. It will spoil some surprises and story.

Good point. Should I take it down and cut out some of the text?

Eight Assaults!!!!Tarendelcymir you were loaded for bear!:D I knew I was going in too light with 1 Assault, 3 Heavies, and a Light, but eight assaults!!! With that much firepower did you make a push up the middle or did you have to skulk around the flanks and take 'pot-shots' like did?

Without giving too much away, I did end up going up the middle, and didn't actually have to reach the enemy base before I'd blown away all opposition.

Heh heh. Like I said, overkill just means I did a good job.
PS, I edited the victory pic and cut out most of the text.
