Would somebody from Matrix please like to comment on why we have not seen Ross Moorhouse around here of late? I am particulalry interested because there has not been any explanantion in my beta forum as to the state of the game we were signed up to test or the future of our test team.
Many thanks in advance.

Hi Everyone
Ross Moorhouse has step down from Matrix Games do to personal reasons. Bart Koehler will be taking over most of the game development project Ross was handling. We are still making posts about this in each development forum.

Will Ross ever be able to come back?

Hi Guys
The loss of Ross Moorhouse was and will be a big loss to us all still here at Matrix. I can not say if Ross will be back in the future but the door is always open for him should he be able to.

Whatever his reasons, I for one wish him the best for the future and will miss his signiture of "comedy Ali".

I am told elsewhere on site, that Ross was a big name in keeping the forums running and running smoothly.
Chop Chop guys, if the forums are languishing because you just lost one of the site's brains, then lets hop to it and get someone that is at least his equal on the job

Ross was managing parts of the developer forums. He was not the "brain" behind the forums no in charge of setting them up or fiddling with the code, databases or stuff like that
We have stated by far enough now why we had to switch to this "beta" version of the VBB system and that the beta might give problems to some people. In general the forums run fine.

In retrospect, I am not sure I chose the most perfect turn of phrase earlier.
So just to ensure I don't get misunderstood.
I have not had much direct personal interaction with Ross that I recall, thus I am not personally familiar with the man.
Therefore I only know the name as a name I have long associated with the forums here. My personal knowledge of the magnitude of his contribution is therefore limited.
That's why I might be capable of not understanding how much he has contributed.
For that matter, I think it is safe to say I am not fully familiar with numerous other long term names hehe
I have had direct intereaction with only a handful of the more prominant names. I have spoken with David Heath and Shaun Wallace, I have had indepth online connection with numerous individuals connected with Steel panthers of course.
I am often surprised at how long I have been here, and yet how little I know some of the long term important persons
I only know this much, the forums have attracted mostly posts from flustered members in the last while.
My hat's off to who ever is at the steering wheel currently at the forums, it is obviously a lot of work.

I have setup and maintained forums much smaller than this and there is a lot of work involved. The bandwidth of this forum is probably phenomenal. Plus the Database maintenance and the amount of topics.
My biggest problem with the forum is the look. I could make this sucker rock wit the same bandwidth usage but they will not even change

buttons. What do those symbols mean? They are just UGLY.
I just designed a forum for ease of use and good looks, check it out.

It´s the standard VBB icon, hence the "V" . I personally think they look by far better then the "M" ones you were offering. As allways with "eye stuff", a matter of taste
