What exactly ar the differences between the various AI difficulty settings?
Any recommendations of what to change to give the AI a beter chance? Increase AI diffculty or AI side's ship commitment?
Thanks.

Setting the difficulty harder than historical will give the AI an advantage in combat. It does not make it any smarter. You can increase its committment level to give it more ships (and you more targets)

It's time for pbem: You want difficulty? You want challenge? You want unpredictability? You want feedback from your opponent? You want to experience the sheer pleasure of a successful battle/invasion against a determined opponent? Who you gonna call? A human being! Its time for you.

Jeez, Drex, you want to pay closer attention to the colors of your prescription medications.

How about the pure agony of making a major blunder and losing that battle/invasion? I'm not sure how many more hits my monitor can take.
And how about the taunting your opponent sends when he wipes you out.

I think it was that last rum and coke. Forgive me if I seemed to go over the top. Maybe my message was lost in my stream of (un)consciousness.
