Playing the campaign game as Russians. Any disadvantage to leaving all those German strongpoints behind me and not attack every single one? I have some nice thrusts going and hate to divert resources to deal with this pesky units. They are not blocking my supply, VP holding cities, etc..

Just my opinion, but I think you have it right, as long as they are not hindering supply, but it may be worth when time and resources permit to handle a few of ones say in the middle, as later on when thaw turns start appearing they may make a nuisance of themselves.
Proirities is keep pressure constantly on Germans, dont let up as to do so invites consolidation and deadly counters.

If the gaps in the strongpoint line are too narrow, air interdiction in those gaps can cause havoc on your supply situation...happened to me while advancing eastwards with my 1st Ukrainian front

Agree on leaving strongpoints alone IF not hindering supply.

Large Field guns housed in bunkers perhaps?

More like Morris and Hillman in front of Caen. This would also suit the bocage nature of the conflict. I do like some of Roger Keating's ideas. DB Normandy I think will be a game I've been waiting for a long while - its scale leading to a nice level of abstraction for this particular campaign.
I'd push for a wider variety of scenarios than KP too: Cherbourg, Carentan, Caen, Falaise/Mortain, the Rommel Option etc., although the promised streamlined scenario editor will be a great help in this regard. My advice to SSG would be to can the map editor.
