I just beat the first mission of the Android Rebellion. One of my new jocks (replacement for someone else who died) was on the verge of leveling up from rookie. So, after the battle, I go into HQ in order to apply everyone's points. Everything seems normal until I get to my last guy (the new one). His rank is still Rookie, and his experience is listed as 4407 / 3800.

Oh yes, during the battle, he lost his recon titan due to a tesla bolt to the chest. (Fortunately, the engine didn't blow.)

Umm... There's an interesting bug. I've got the squad file, although I don't know if it'd actually help.

Is there any way I can force him to level up at this point? It'd be unfortunate if I'm stuck with a perpetual rookie...

Not a bug... it's a feature

[/font][font=Arial][left]A Jock will not be promoted if he deserts the battlefield. Ejecting is not dishonorable.

[left]He will also not be promoted if his Titan is destroyed in battle.

[left]For a Jock to be promoted for an outstanding performance in battle (regardless of accumulated experience)

Ah ha, it all makes sense now. I even vaguely recall reading something about that too...

3 kills in one battle? Man, I wish!
