What's the deal with Russian Steel?

Hello Gentlemen -

I downloaded RS 1.5 from the geocities site in Italian. Now when I try to run the .zip file, nothing happens. The full 3.19 MB downloaded, but it won't do anything at all when I try to open it. Can anyone suggest anything? Better yet, could someone email me a copy?

Thanks,
Matt.

Matt,

I can email if your ISP doesn't have a problem with attachments greater than 1 MB..

There may have been some sort of glitch with the Brutto-Bob download zipfile - some people encountered a 'CRC error' and some did not...

If your ISP does have a limit let me know and I'll think of something...

CRC errer here - c022s035.dat. 532k compressed to 160k. Hmmm. Wonder if making just that one as an attachment might do?

Hello,

probably the Yahoo free web server service has some problem handling large files. I've done the upload again.

Matt and Karnaaj, which version of winzip are you using?

Winzip 8.1 here... I'd grab for the new u/l, but the site is limited-out at the mo'. <G> WinRAR gives "unexpected end of archive." (v 2.90)

(Quite a bit later)

Still gagging at the same spot; I used the "Test" option in WinZip, and this is what I get, in part:

Testing ...
warning [C:\My Download Files\RussianSteel.zip]: extra 1 bytes at beginning or within Zip file (attempting to process anyway)
Error in file #1: bad Zip file offset (Error local header signature not found): 0
