Getting a wee bit peeved now.....

Hi Guys
bought the game....installed no probs....
Wont run, cant verify the cd....changed to my other cd drive, still wouldnt verify, ok check for patches, true update to the rescue, oh, a file available, nope......FTP connection Failed(#6 line 1), ok try for manual download, ok got all installed up to 2.1.
Still doesnt verify cd, any help please?
