Does G. Grigsby have a sadistic sense of humor?

Post by RevRick »

For the fourth time I have made it into the end of November 1942. I have squirreld away fighter and fighter-bomber assets and nursed them along with great worry and a modicum of skill to keep land bases and task forces from being obliterated by the myriad fighter escorting four bomber raids from Rabaul. I have been most careful in husbanding my force of B17s, since they are about as prolific as cantankerous porcupines in their production capacity (Why in the name of pluperfect purgatory are we still producing TBD's after June of 42?), and have managed to get enough supplies into Gili Gili to put a moderate sized airbase capable of operating B-17s and P-38s, and am awaiting my third squadron changeover from the P-39 Shavetail killer to the much more capable and longer legged Lightning. Two squadrons are not enough to go into full action. I need at least three. So what happens when my third squadron gets upgraded - for the fourth time the 40th FS gets them. The most abyssmal commander in the entire Pacific theater outside of Ghormley gets the fighter. This has to be hardwired because I have run this scenario with four different setups and the same thing happens every time. I think I shall contact my Soliciter and have him send a formal request for an explanation from the creator of this game, or at least ask for an examination of his sense of humor, or the lack thereof, for possible tendencies for sadism.

I have a great suggestion of any upgrade of this game. GIVE US THE CAPACITY TO SACK WORTHLESS COMMANDERS. Meathead Moore is about as usefull as another udder on a boar!!!!!
