recently dug up my old copies of SP 2 and 3 and wanted to revisit old favorites. loaded them on my computer (PIII/500 running W98 with Voodoo card) and neither of them work either from the DOS prompt, or through Windows in the case of SP 3. The program loads and it looks like all the graphics are crammed into the top 20% of my monitor screen leaving all the rest black. any help from you guys out there? I tried backing off 16 bit color to 256 and that didn't work either. thanks in advance....rgds, will

Which version of Windows? Are you setting up a shortcut to start each game? Do you know how to do that.

You'll need to set the shortcut to full screen and exit when finished. It should work from there, at least it does for me in Win98....WB

I have the same problem. Although SP3 works, my SP2 will not work no matter what!!! Running WIN98 on a Celron 400 with a Voodoo Banshee 16 meg card.

Generally windows have problems with VESA graphic resolutions. By changing your window-screen resolution and colour depth you are not doing any good. Try running the game in DOS mode (not dos prompt, you have to exit windows). If it runs like it runs with windows, then I think it is helpless. If it doesn't go to graphic mode then try finding a VESA TSR program for your graphic card. Though those are quite old stuff, you might be able to find it.

(In my PC when I used win98, the SP3 was running, but if I switched to windows, the game was not working after that.)
